In cooperation with NSW Multicultural Health Service, Parramatta Community Migrant Resource Centre and Cabramatta Multicultural Community Care Service Centre, AHL Legal has launched a free “Planning Ahead” legal seminar series regarding legal issues affecting senior people.
The purpose of the seminar series is to help senior people gain a greater understanding of essential planning ahead documents for later life. Topics covered include future planning, wills, advanced care directives, appoint an enduring guardian and power of attorney. Solicitor Shen from AHL Legal explain the use and benefits of a Will, Power of Attorney, Enduring Guardian and Advance Care Plans. We also discuss what happens when someone doesn't have a Power of Attorney or dies intestate (without a Will).
Lectures were held on 27 May 2014 at Cabramatta Multicultural Community Care Service Centre and on 29 June 2014 at Parramatta Community Migrant Resource Centre. Three more lectures will be held in conjunction with NSW Multicultural Health Service Office in Sydney City later October 2014.
